Hour 1: Scripture 1 - Acts 1:4-5
Scripture: Acts 1:4-5
"On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: 'Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'"
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
As we begin this journey of prayer and reflection, we thank You for the promise of Your Holy Spirit. Just as You instructed Your disciples to wait for the gift You had promised, we too seek Your presence and power in our lives. Grant us patience and expectancy as we wait upon You.
Encouraging Words:
In this hour, let us remember that God's timing is perfect. Though we may be eager for His blessings, let us trust in His plan and provision. He is faithful to fulfill His promises in His perfect timing.
Testimony:
Reflecting on times of waiting in my own life, I've seen God's faithfulness unfold in remarkable ways. He always comes through at just the right moment, bringing His blessings and provision beyond what I could imagine.
Closing Argument:
As we conclude this hour of prayer, let us anchor our hearts in the certainty of God's promises. Though we may be in a season of waiting, let us stand firm in faith, knowing that God will indeed pour out His Spirit upon us.
Prayer for Scripture:
Lord, we thank You for the promise of Your Holy Spirit. As we wait upon You, fill us with expectancy and faith. Prepare our hearts to receive Your Spirit in fullness and power.
