What TestimonyTV is all about…
No matter what you’re going through, where your life is heading, or how much burden you’re facing on a daily basis, there is always hope! That’s what testimonies can give you, hope. Let’s remember what hope really stands for:
H – Healing
O – Opportunity
P – Peace
E – Ease
TestimonyTV gives the opportunity for people to deal with their pain in a new venue. It provides an “Opportunity” to “Heal” in “Ease” and find “Peace,” all the essential tools needed for HOPE. A testimony is the only thing that can validate our pain. It is a record, or real-time recording of an event that happened in our lives. These events may have very little impact on us when they first happen; but over time they can weigh very heavily on our minds. This is what makes testimony so important. It provides more than relief, it provides HOPE! Hope that things are getting better; hope that we’re not alone in our trouble; and, hope that the rest of our lives will be positive and fulfilling, revealing perfect harmony.
Revelation 12:11(MSG) – And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
TestimonyTV is also…
When giving a testimony, two things happen. First, you speak, and the audience listens. This is you being as real as you will ever be, pouring your heart out to people who are honestly concerned with what you’re going through; real people, hearing real words about your real experiences, and the healing that can take place because of it.
The second thing that happens is that you speak, and you hear yourself. Not only can you look inside yourself and find things you thought were long hidden, but you can see the light gracing the faces of your listeners as your words fall from your lips with ease. You can see the reality and feeling of your words in their eyes. It doesn’t get more real than that.
John 8:14 (MSG) – Jesus replied, “You’re right that you only have my word. But you can depend on it being true. I know where I've come from and where I go next. You don't know where I'm from or where I'm headed. You decide according to what you can see and touch. I don't make judgments like that. But even if I did, my judgment would be true because I wouldn't make it out of the narrowness of my experience but in the largeness of the One who sent me, the Father. That fulfills the conditions set down in God's Law: that you can count on the testimony of two witnesses. And that is what you have: You have my word and you have the word of the Father who sent me."
And finally, the most important aspect of TestimonyTV is its ability to…
Everybody’s experiences are unique to those individual people. That’s what makes testimony so important. Each person had a unique experience which affected his/her life. That experience can only be felt by that person…until the testimony!
Testimony gives us the opportunity to hear about experiences we could never possibly feel without the help of others. It unburdens not just the speaker, but the listeners as well. It allows us to know that we’re not alone in our troubles. No matter what pain we’re feeling, no matter what obstacles we need to climb, no matter how black the night becomes in our lives, testimony lets us know that we’re not alone.
It can actually provide healing.
In a nutshell, that’s what TestimonyTV is all about…
